                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 7704
                   BASSWOOD DRIVE, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF
                   BASSWOOD DRIVE NORTHWEST OF BONNY OAKS DRIVE,
                   FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO M-3 WAREHOUSE AND
                   WHOLESALE ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
                A tract of land located at 7704 Basswood Drive,
                being on the northeast line of Basswood Drive
                northwest of Bonny Oaks Drive.  Lot 7, and part of
                Future Development, Amended Plat of Eastern Hills
                Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 20, page 72, ROHC; being the property
                described in deed book 4526, page 739, ROHC.  Tax
                Map No. 129L-D-23.
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone to M-3 Warehouse and Wholesale Zone,
         subject to the conditions that:  1) the roadways be built in
         accord with the plan attached hereto and made a part hereof by
         reference and 2) that screening requirements between M-3 and 
R-1
         Zones be observed and followed.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
